Need dimensional assistance from someone who owns an IC-7000
I haven't yet purchased the 7000, but need to account for it's size in a go kit I am working on. Icom lists it's size as 6 5/8" wide by 2 3/8" high by 7 1/8" long. I need to verify if those dimesions include the projections, knobs, and feet on the bottom... If a 7000 owner could double check that for me, it would be greatly appreciated. Will try to find a local owner so I can measure myself, but no dice so far. Thanks in advance |

My IC-7000 is 6 5/8" wide, 3" high from rubber feet bottoms to top (feet are removable), and 9" in depth (front of tuning knob to rear of cooling fins). You could lose 1 1/2" in depth by removing and relocating the face plate. Hope this helps. First post BTW.

Angelll and/or Blamo.. Found 2 more dimensions I need, if you would indulge 1 more request. 1 - The location of the mounting holes on the side 2 - The height of these holes on the mobile mounting bracket.. Thanks!!! it's a TRAP. OP works for China Cloned Radios, Inc. ar-jedi ps: thankfully, you got the width of the radio to 4 decimal places. any rounding error there would present an issue. |
