Welp, I just took and passed my tech exam here in AZ. I tried my luck at the General and missed by six. Not bad for not never studying for it. Hope to have my callsign in a couple weeks.
Got an HT for now, a VX-6R. Hope to get to packet radio capabilities soon. |

+1 on Tech. If you explored all of VHF/UHF while being a tech, you'd be there forever. |

Keep searching the FCC database, as soon as your name appears, and the license is granted, you are good-to-go. I've been a tech only for a couple years, and haven't felt the need for any HF stuff yet, so here I am. |
