For DX ?

I look them up on QRZ.com and they often specify their preferred method.
For common DX, BURO.

I have done them all.

eQSL for me. I'm just flat not interested in paper cards. I've tried to embrace the concept, honest. To me, the magic of radio is that it's fun and free airtime. Throwing in snail mail to the equation is just an inconvenient holdover from old times (and expensive too, if done en mass).

IMHO, there's really no reason folks can't confirm a QSO with either email (by just updating their QRZ page with a good email addy) or by one of the electronic QSL mechanisms already listed by Jedi. I know there are OT's who aren't up on email, etc., but this is ham radio, man -- a hobby synonymous with innovation and technology.

I put a blurb on my QRZ page saying how I don't have any cards and that I prefer eQSL. I do keep the ones I've received (almost all are from CW contacts and some have nice compliments and notes of encouragement), but I've never had any of my own printed.

I'm using eQSL. I'll hit you up if you want to count last night.

For DX I prefer direct. I like to see the stamps (though I'm not really a collector) and sometimes the cool postcards that are sent.

BURO and LoTW

I still like getting the cards

How do you like this? Just signed up yesterday so I'm waiting for my postcard or whatever they send. Figured I could use eQSL for informal logging and LoTW if I want to go after any ARRL awards.

I love it... From LoTW:
You have 2,558 QSO records
You have 401 QSL records
I use ACLog from n3fjp.com and after you get all of your TQ files setup (read instructions carefully and follow to the letter) you just enter your LoTW passwrds etc in ACLog and hit update. It uploads your log and downloads QSL's.

40% of my DXCC was electronic qsl's. I now have 121 confirmed and all are listed on LoTW. The only PITA is when your certificate expires and you have to get a new one. It is all electronic, but still a pain. The price of security of data. I just looked, and I need a couple for WAS... all electronic.. very cool... guess I need to work SS or something and get them.

Cool. I'm trying ACLog now. Can't decide if I want to use it or the logbook in Ham Radio Deluxe. Haven't talked to anyone that's actually used LoTW. Thx for the input.

SASE and buro.  Don't have any interest in Eqsl or any of that electronic stuff.  I like paper QSLs.

I either QSL direct or via the BURO. I absolutely do not use LOTW or eQSL because of all the issues trying to figure them out along with not being valid for most awards. I enjoy having and getting the paper card.

I can see this about eQSL as they have their own awards, but how is LoTW not valid? It's an ARRL program.

LoTW and eQSL always.

If you send me a paper card I'll send one, but I don't originate paper cards.

LoTW...
6,854 QSO records
3,550 QSL records

...all in the last 18 months.  Casual contesting can really build up your QSO count.

I do all of the above. I have almost quit sending sase qsl cards due to the large amount not being returned. If it is a DX I will see what they want and if they don't say I will mail one. 6 meter is becoming an exception to that due to me chasing grid squares.

I've spent hundreds of $$$ QSL'ing direct.  Started using the buro almost exclusively now, though.
