"Now You're Talking!" is popular.  It's on Amazon, and I remember seeing it in my local library, too.

See if your library has Ham Radio for Dummies. Truly a big help to me as I started.

Also, note that if you're looking for the latest/greatest from ARRL, they dropped the "Now You're Talking" name with the current edition. Now it's just the Ham Radio License Manual (www.arrl.org/catalog/?item=9639).
