Today I was out killing time, picking around at a local pawnshop and scored 2 Bud Erhardt Fishin' Sticks with Abu Garcia bait cast reels. The good reels, from when they were still made in Sweden. This deal cost me 60$ - less than the cost of one original Fishin' Stick. Not the kind of thing you stumble across everyday. Few scratches and had to clean off some dust, but dang are these nice rigs. Rods are in fantastic shape. Anyhow, I'm pretty happy and had to spout off somewhere. I can already see my wife's eyes rolling back, yeah, yeah, yeah....  Had planned to go out to the range tomorrow - no chance. Supposed to be a beauty day - off to the lake instead, can't wait. Hopefully Bud will be smiling down and the fish biting. |
