So next month i'm taking a flight across the country and need a good book to read. I have read "one second after" and "lights out" wich were good books, but I would like to read a book on actually bugging out.  Does anyone in the hive have a thought on this?  As always thanks.

Off the top of my head, as far as older stuff you have examples like Lucifers Hammer, much of which involves the cast of characters bugging out from the effects of the comets strike. Or Dean Ings Pulling Through. Or  for a more recent example, Joe Nobody has a series going where the principal character and his wife are bugging out for their BOL for most of the first book in the series.

Just started reading the 299 Days series.  It's a ten book series that is on book 4.  The author says that all ten books are complete and being released one at a time.  I am completely hooked.  Bought all four books for the kindle and read them in as many days.
