It was tough hunting in S.E. Idaho this year. Lucky to get one.

300 RCM, very nice little compact rifle, (you can see terrain is almost vertical- this may be my keeper mtn rifle). Tried a new reticle this year- Ziess conquest with the ranging reticle, matched to the caliber –– out to 600 yds. Flipped his switch at 250 yds.

Very nice. I hunt similar terrain in Alaska several times with ten pound rifles. I can see the benefit to a lighter rifle!

Unit 66A. Was on a big herd bull for a couple days, couldn't get a shot at him, took this one out of the same herd as time was running out. 6+ hour round trip the next morning to get him out.
