I've been in Idaho for going on 3 years. I had to go back to western Washington, where I moved from last weekend and I honestly don't really care to go back again. I love it here |

Gonna take it easy this weekend….. other than cleanup around the cabin I decided to build a a small wood shed on back of the cabin so all I will have to do is reach out the back door to restock the wood for the cabin. Attached File Attached File This is mostly mom’s ‘job’ (her choice) as she has already cut and split most of the wood for this year….. Attached File (This is over a cord of wood alone) Attached File (Both of these bins will be full by next weekend) All that, plus a pallet of energy logs will more than get us through this winter. Her goal was to have the shed on the back of the cabin that she can fill once a week to keep the cabin stocked. |

I finished the siding on the wood shed this morning and made and installed the door…. Attached File Attached File Then I dig out and leveled the area for the rear deck and built the foundation….. Attached File Attached File Attached File I’ll mill the deck boards and get them sealed and installed tomorrow if it doesn’t start raining. |

Well it’s been 2 years since I last looked at this thread- and holy crap at how much you’ve got done and how good it all looks! Definitely one of the top 3 best threads on this forum!  You are super talented and my back hurts just looking at all the work you’ve done |

I milled the boards this morning and got them installed on the back porch…. Attached File Attached File Attached File I hit the deck with a mixture of linseed oil and ready seal (cedar) to help protect it over the winter. I plan on back filling around it with some gravel. |
