I have a free source of a bunch of old, junk brick (I think fire brick). I've been hauling some while I can get it to some property where I plan to build soon. I'm not entirely sure what I'm going to do with it, but I figure in the process of building I'll find some use, and even if I don't use it at all during the build, I had some thoughts of other things I may use them for later.
My question is, if I was to use this in developing a spring, do I need to worry about anything leaching out of the bricks into the water? Here's a pic of the bricks (pile in the center, not the concrete blocks next to them):
