How do I get rid of earwigs? They get in my hives and are everywhere around them.

They thrive in moist dead wood or vegetable matter.

Remove cut and downed wood, leaf piles and other stuff like that.

Try diatomous earth.

Old school trick was to roll up damp news papers, set them out in the evening and throw them away in the morning, the idea is that they go in the rolls and you throw them away.

diatomacious earth just cuts the shells of stuff with hard shells.  You don't want to inhale the dust into your lungs, so make sure bees are ok with it if going nuts with it.  But if the bees don't mess around on the ground near the hives, dust that.

Diatomacious earth is just ground up shells and stuff, run a search and read up on it and only buy the food grade stuff.  The pool grade stuff might not be so friendly.
