I am looking to create a list of pickling recipes.
I have a few from family members and the internet and would like to expand on them.
Does anyone have any good ones?
I am looking for shelf stable food that does not have to be refrigerated. I have made Dill Pickles using Bozeman's recipe and they are awesome.
Any and all recipes would be appreciated:
Specifically I am looking for the following:
1. Pickled Sausage
2. Bread and Butter Pickles
3. Dilly Beans
4. Cowboy Candy

Thanks

You need Ball's Blue Book of Canning.  It's got a ton of recipes and its easily found.  And cheap.

Do not rely on internet recipes.  Many are old aunt Bertha's recipes from 1938, and they aren't considered safe by modern standards.

I have many canning books as well as both Ball books.
I am looking for tried and true recipes from people that have used them.

This pickled okra is delicious (we made it without the hot peppers, because we didn't have any...)

This PDF from Iowa State has a good sweet pickle recipe. It is the "Reduced-Sodium Sliced Sweet Pickles (Fresh Pack)".

To all of my pickles, I add Pickle Crisp because it really truly makes them crunchier.
