What type of garlic you plant? I am getting my garlic bed prep in a couple of weeks and I am looking
at the soft neck kind.I called 2 feed stores in my area and all they had was the elephant kind. What kind of prices are you paying for 1 pound of garlic sets? |

This is my first year doing garlic. My neighbor has great success with the stiff neck varieties so that's what I ordered.

At first I drew a complete blank as to why I wanted softnecks. The reason is softnecks do better in the south while hardnecks do better in colder conditions.
Seems none of the feed stores have sets . They may get some local sets maybe. I may hit the local farmers market to see if anyone has any local grown garlic or order off the web. |
