Anyone know the best method to kill Webworms up high in a tree? I know I can cut the low hanging ones out, but can't get to the top ones.

I used a pesticide type spray about 10 yrs. ago, but can't remeber the name of the solution. Mixed it in a sprayer that sprayed bout 20 feet up using a water hose attached.

I am in Texas if that matters. Going to be 102 degrees today and I need to get those basterds out of my trees.

I always roll up some newspaper and walk around burning the webs/bags on the fruit trees.  For you a long pole, old cotton sock, wire, and some diesel fuel to make a torch?  Once their tent is gone and a few get lost in the fire the rest die or move on.  A couple of sticks of 1/2" EMT conduit would be light, sturdy, and work for the pole?

When I was a teenager, a friends dad had us shoot them out with a 12 gauge.  I never questioned how well it worked in the long run, but we were able to take out the web bundles and it was a lot of fun.
