what does the hive use for grain mills. looking at Coutry living grain mill. |

I've got the Wondermill Junior Deluxe. It's a little harder than I expected to process the grain, but recently I purchased the drill adaptor and in a non shtf situation, it's made it a non issue.

We also have a Wondermill Jr. Deluxe.
It grinds our wheat into flour in one pass. The Country Living Grain Mill is an excellent mill. However, we chose the Wondermill Jr. Deluxe because for not much more than the price of the Country Living, we could buy both the Wondermill Jr (hand cranked) and a Wondermill (electric) We have been happy with the Wondermill Jr. and have not added a Wondermill yet. The Jr. deluxe comes with both steel and stone burrs, we prefer using the stone burrs for flour. Hand cranked mills are a workout, no doubt about that, and while I understand the reason for hand cranked vs. electric, I don't see the reason to not use electricity if you have it or while you have it. |

I own the KitchenAide, and will be buying the WonderMill Jr. soon... Love that thing, and coming with both the CNC steel mill and the stone mill too... Excellent bang for the buck, and a great, ultra-fine, and adjustable grind. |

By far THE BEST grain mill out there. The Model No. 99 is the cheapest. Made in the good ole USA and has a HEIRLOOM LIFETIME warranty. A bit on the pricey side, but buy once cry once......

| I bought the Country Living Grain Mill about 3 years ago, used it for 2 1/2 years, then I moved. It is a lot of work but does one good, sort of like burning wood, heats you up grinding and eating. I moved and am using the electric Magic Mill (20-30 years old) until I get a stand to put the CLGM on. It needs something very sturdy to mount to. |
