Stupid question How deep in the bucked should I plant my potatoe? I am trying the planting in a 5 gal bucket I have heard about. |

Then as they grow, we backfill, always keeping the top of the leaves above ground. That's roughly what we always did at home. Only we probably cover them with a little more dirt, maybe 4". Someone tried it last year (die-trying I think?) and it didn't work to well for them.

The dogs like to lay in the cool, freshly turned up dirt on a hot day.
