Found an IBC 330 gallon container in yard sale. Guy selling said it had animal fat in it. I want it for emergency water storage. Price is right $50.00. What are your thoughts on this?
I have bought one from a container store ( had syrup in it), theirs are steam cleaned inside. Thanks, BravoCharlie |

I wouldn't use it as potable water storage being that animal fat goes rancid and you'll never really get it all out since you can't climb in and scrub.
Sounds like it will be hard to clean. Lots of Dawn or other degreasers. Maybe Simple green. But even still, I would just use it for the garden. |
