Anyone tried growing garlic in the spring/summer?
I have some I planted last fall but I was thinking about planting a spring crop and was curious if anyone had done this before.

Thanks,
rustee

I never had any luck with spring planted garlic, but that's just me. The cash crop growers up here will pretty much tell you it has to be fall planted and overwinter.

Here's a link for SC.

Does not work well in MN. Small bulbs, almost no bigger than the clove planted. But, the overwintered stuff is already springing up here. Snow isn't even totally gone and there are 2-4" scapes pushing up.

That was our experience as well. Only tried it once.
