Took out 75 vines this morning, they can't support mater growth any longer so I put them out of their misery. left 30 that might have a chance for some greenies to fry. The freekin tomato worms don't give the greenies much of a chance though. Still left are Rutgers, a few Romas and some Better Boy. Very sad. I've kept some records for the past couple of years and just about to the day is when they started giving up the ghost. This year the damnable 5 weeks of 90+ and city water did them in.

Also took out 20 pepper and 6 eggplants in the same shape. Pole beans went away last week but my fall crop of bush beans may make it if the bean beetles don't get started.

On a good note, gonna sneak a peak at my early planted sweet taters this afternoon and hope for the best
