I have just purchased a house here in S. Fl and want to plant some fruit trees. Can anyone suggest any trees to plant that are not citrus trees. I just planted an avacado tree and am looking for the next tree to plant. I just don't know what will survive the S. Fl sun besides citrus/mango trees.

UF created a few kinds of apple trees that need very low chill times. I looked into getting a few but haven't yet. Also there are some blueberry that grow here.

This is a paragraph from a website I will link.

Florida has always been associated with grapefruit  and orange  trees, and rightly so; the citrus industry brings more than $9 billion dollars per year into the state[2]. That is a lot of grapefruit and oranges!   There are many other fruits grown in Florida including avocados, figs, grapes, guavas, mangoes, persimmons, peaches, and pineapples. But the fruit many people are surprised to see in the Sunshine State is the apple.

That site should give you some excellent info.
