I have some that I bought back in 97 that has been sitting ion a shelf in my cabinet.  I have stored them neck down so the cork is covered.

Will this age?  I forgot that they were even in there.

Well, it has alcohol in it so I'd think it shouldn't do more than taste like crap at worst.  Drink up and report back!

Yes, this will age.

That Triple Bock is more alchoholic and has a higher gravity than a traditional Barley Wine or Old Ale. Thomas Hardy's can be aged to 25 years, IIRC, so your Triple Bock should be fine.

I have a few Barley Wines and a few Old Ales aging in a closet - not homebrew but storebought. I think alot of these styles need aging and will be much better after a few years. I have never lasted ten years, though.

Well, it tasted terrible.  It was just as described online, it tasted like soy sauce.

That's a pisser, I had forgotten I had them and 12yrs later I'll probably have to use them as decoration!

Definately not my favorite!

I had one last year that was from the mid-nineties.  It was definately interesting, but I'm glad I didn't buy it!  I won it as a door prize.  If you have more, I'd taste one maybe every 8 or 10 years w/ some adventurous friends.

Some people will kill for this stuff, aged.

my local tavern sells 1980's Thomas Hardy's for $2xx per bottle based on year, and up to $75 for a bottle of aged XXX Bock.
