Loads of deer, rabits, racoons, possums, armoured dillos, and such here. What is the easiest way w/o putting up a huge fence or spending hundreds of dollars to keep my garden from being eaten? I take care of what I can find, but they come out lots later than I stay up.

electric fence charger.  Pound some rebar in the four corners.  slip a PVC pipe over the rebar.  Run your elec wire at deer nose heighth, coon nose height, and in between.  turn it on, don't pee on it, and pray.  You'll still lose some to pesky varmints.

dog hair around the base of the plants helps but you have to replace it often

Same problem at our family place.

We used the electric fence approach for a couple years.  It worked very well.  Haven't had to since then.  Its kind of like they know better now.

Odd huh?

A have-a-heart trap and a .22 cal pistol has been the only way to deal with 'em here in TX... My barn cats are good mousers, so the only problematic varmits are the moles...

This, pretty much, is the only solution here. Groundhogs will still dig under––and rabbits, unless you put a wire about three inches off the ground as well.

As to peeing on it, never had the urge.

I'm just sayin.

Garden is on my mother's property, no boys at home and she's old. Think I'll buy her a 410 and put up an electric fence. Just hope she doesn't get the 2 confused...

Couple of eggs cracked and whisked.  Pour into a gallon jug, then top off w/ water.  Let sit in the sun a few days.

Put that in a garden sprayer and mist your plants liberally.

Works for my neighbor.  She says it keeps the deer out of her tulips.  Me, I have a pit bull.  Nothing without wings comes in my yard...

Dog hair and your piss.
Replace after it rains.

Works.

4lb. test fishing line fence. They can feel it but they can't see it. Keeps them away.
