Anybody know their hazelnuts?
We're thinking of planting 125' of these "Precocious" hybrids on 3' spacing for a hedgerow. The edible nuts would be a bonus. Anybody have experience with these or similar? |

There is a very large hazelnut bush that my dad planted when he was little. He didn't find out until years later than they had to be planted in pairs to produce nuts. It has yet to every produce nuts in 50 years.
Last year I planted two small hazelnut's to try. I am hoping they will be able to pollinate the large hazelnut too. |
