There is no such thing as a bad can of Spam, it is all goodyliscious.

Seriously, it doesn't have the jelly stuff in it any more.

How'd you plan to cook it?

I like mine pan-fried until it is crispy-black, Miracle Whip on lightly toasted bread.

One of the best sammiches there is.

Spam Musubi's are sticky rice formed into a rectangle with spam on top and seaweed wrapped around it. Good stuff

It was never "packed" in jelly.  Years ago, when they packed the meat in the cans, the retort cooker cooked out some of the naturally occuring gelatin (connective tissue and muscle fiber coverings – collagen – turn to gelatin when heated in the presence of moisture).  Now, they pack the cans under a vacuum and that prevents the collagen from coming out of the meat into the can.  Everything is still there, it's just still in the meat.

Two slices of Spam fried hard, two eggs fried over easy, some shredded hashbrowns, toast with real butter, and orange juice.

It's 3:30 in the morning and I'm thinking breakfast in a couple of hours is now planned!  (can't sleep, neck pain is causing a headache).

I had noticed that there was not as much gelatin in spam as I remembered it once had. Now I know why.

I mostly fry it up as a breakfast meat.
