| I have some leftover 2x10s that I've been thinking of turning into a stackable potato planter. Do you all think this would work like the tire method? If you think it would work, would you go with the segements of the same size or decreasing size as you stack (sort of a tier method). Another issue is digging potatoes as the summer goes. I'd prefer not to harvest all at once. I've thought of cutting small "doors" in the sides of the boards to access the potatoes that are on the bottom. Any ideas/suggestions would be great. |

absolutely will work!! not so sure about the window idea, but you can stack 2x10 boxes- check out Square Foot Gardening for more info, I'm planning to have a sfg this year, and will be doing a report here to share my experiences |
