Let me premise this with stating that I am in NO WAY a chef. But I entered a chefs challenge today with this recipe. Enjoy! I don't normally use measuring cups. I blend and season to taste. Macadamia Nut Crab stuffed Halibut: 1 cup finely crushed Macadamia nuts 2 Halibut fillets 1 cup cooked Snow Crab meat Olive Oil 2 table spoons Kraft Mayonnaise 1 1/2 -2 Cups finely grated Parmesan Cheese 1 table spoon Oregano 1 table spoon Garlic powder or finely chopped garlic 1 table spoon savory 1 Teaspoon black pepper Mix The Snow crab, Mayonnaise, Oregano, and spices in a medium sized bowl. Slit the Halibut down the center and butterfly the center to allow the stuffing to be inserted. Fill the Halibut with the crab stuffing. Lightly coat the stuffed Halibut with Olive Oil. Coat the Halibut with the ground Macadamia nuts. Lightly coat a large iron skillet or frying pan with Olive Oil. Lightly brown the Halibut on both sides. Place the Skillet in the oven at 375 for about 10 minutes or until the cheese melts. Serve warm and enjoy. |
