I tried searching but didn't find anything. I am looking for the thread about a company that makes kits to convert a gas generator to propane. It is on my prep check list since Hurricane Matthew has passed us.

Try these guys:  http://www.uscarb.com/

I put one of their conversions on about 4 yrs ago.  Simple to do, works fine.

We used US Carb. They shipped quick and it installed in about 45 minutes.

US Carb  just ran a 1/2 off special in the spring..  I bought 2 kits and they are very easy to install and work great - at least on my EU2000's

I was storying about 15 gallons of gas in my garage so this allowed me to get rid of it and use propane..

Highly recommend them..

So do you guys run your just on propane? I was thinking I could use both gas and LP so I have double the fuel. I have 30 gallons of pump gas on hand and have (4) 20# tanks and the main 100# for the house that I could hook up to as well. So I would have the luxury of being able to use either fuel and pick up refills of which ever is available if we run out of either.

US Carb has their motor snorkel that allows both gasoline or propane. I only run that generator on propane but like the fact that I could run it on whatever I have access to.

Also, running on propane or NG reduces the generator's maximum power output somewhat - So being able to switch back to gasoline might be useful for starting or running large loads.

For example, a generator that can't start a well pump on propane or NG might be able to do it on gasoline.
