| Anybody know where one could purchase one of these? |
|
Or you could not screw around with surplus medical supplies and just buy new.

The IFAK contents make a good guide, but one thing to remember is they are pretty specialized for trauma. We had to turn in our old school first aid kits to get IFAK's, and IMHO the IFAK sucked for the most common stuff in the field. The 2-3 things that are super handy in the IFAK are purchasable separate, and probably better stuff than what might come in some dudes old IFAK he 5 finger discounted and sold on ebay*. *Specifically quickclot |

Not so much the whole IFAK, just looking for the 1st Gen pouch. I have the items I want to put in it. What is the pouch like? I was never in the USMC, don't know what that specific pouch is like, but I have some that may be the one you're looking for (contents are mostly outdated and need pitched but pouches are good). |

USMC IFAK pouch:http://www.unclesamsretailoutlet.com/USMC-First-Aid-Pouch-8105090002725-p/6202.htm
Looks a lot like a 100-rd SAW pouch with a built-in dividing panel. |

Picked up a USMC IFAK with the small boo-boo kit in original plastic bag for $9.95 last Sunday. I assume some of the boo-boo kit contents will be used for training, and so replaced with newer items.
One disadvantage of this pouch, and also the 100-rd and 200-rd SAW pouches is that the closure buckles have no adjustment. This means the pouch must be kept full or else it will flop around, and so make unwanted noise. |
