Has anyone tried one these yet?

I saw them at COSTCO for $19.99 each.  It's a nice looking LED lantern from GE that says it has "ChromaLit 3D technology and super bright white LED technology, creating a 360-degree illuminated area".  Reportedly 260 lumens and has up to 200 hours of battery life (on low setting) with 8 D-cell batteries.  Can also operate on 4 D-cells. I found some very favorable reviews on other sites.

The specifications are kind of ambiguous.

If the brightness is electronically regulated, the lantern will produce 260 lumens for a full 50 hours with 4 D-cells  - If not, it'll produce 260 lumens for the first hour, gradually fading to nothing over the next 49 hours.

Either way, that's a damn good price. They are $40.00 on Amazon.

Well,

I'll ask one thing, has anyone tried one of these?

If it is a good quality light that runs like stated...it's a decently usefull tool..

We know from the fact that they are inexpensive because no one sells cheaper then amazon.:)

So, first off if it's a pos even though it's cheap it's still a bad buy...cuz its crap.

So, has anyone tried one of these?

I thought of picking one up...but I've got tons of camp lights already...
