Picked up a few of these in excellent condition today for $10 each. How'd I do?

Sounds pretty good.  I've never seen them that low before.

BUT the wool blankets are heavy.  Poncho liner is lighter.

That's ok. I don't really plan on carrying them around.

They are excellent blankets.

Wool keeps you warm, even when wet.

With the winter weather, just the thing to keep in the vehicle if stuck or at house if power goes out.

At $10 you did well!

What is the wool content of these and where is a good place to look for them?

Thanks.

Looks like a great deal....I keep a wool blanket and a poncho liner in my vehicle all the time, like someone else said they are too heavy to lug around-like in a BOB  (for me anyway)

I've got some US and some Dutch Army blankets.

The Dutch blankets are MUCH nicer.  Not so itchy, and just as warm.

try washing them in  all in one shampoo/conditioner like Pert.
seems to help soften them up a bit, after all it's hair.

Well,

I'm allergic to wool, so none for me...

I was also 4f for the military...so I've always been a indepent contractor...it pays better too...

But, I wish I could have flown for the .mil...
