What are you using?
I need something easier than funnel s and the balancing act

I use the regular old clear plastic with red hand squeeze pump. You can get them at WalMart and every auto parts store in the country.

Super Siphon, similar to this (not a recommendation for the site, just the product).

We had several of the squeeze-ball or accordion squeeze types fail; use them once and a chemical breakdown seems to start up; a few months later they're ripe to fail.

The best siphon depends on what you're siphoning out of...

Some vehicle gas filler necks are too twisty and convoluted to accommodate thick hose, so a thin piece of semi-rigid tubing may be the best choice. I carry 6 feet of 1/4" icemaker water line for this purpose.

Other vehicles will accept thicker hose, which provides a much faster siphon. I carry 3/8" clear vinyl hose for this purpose.

To get the siphon started, an outboard motor fuel primer squeeze bulb works great - Loosely slip it over the end of the hose, give it a few squeezes to draw fuel into the hose, and then remove it as soon as the siphon is working. The Atwood brand of squeeze bulb is sold at most Wal-Marts - costs about 6 bucks. Note that a squeeze bulb may not produce any suction unless it is held in the proper position -and it'll probably be marked to show this position.

Might check.

I think this is my first post.

I use the simple or super siphon with a 1/2" chemical and fuel safe tube attached to it. Real easy to use and stores in a small pouch.

Best place to order a super siphon?

ETA: I just ordered two of the 1/2" super siphons from Cabelas.com for 4.99 each. With shipping it came out just under $16. I will buy one of the bigger versions later.

I have two 1/2" hose super siphons in my hands right now. I can't believe they came so fast. I ended up paying about $8 each with shipping, but that is life.

Don't do it......I tried like hell to get the hoses to go back to round......negative.....I had to get new hoses.

the cost savings didn't mean crap after that....
