| I have a Coleman Exponent multifuel stove that I love and has always worked very well. Lately it has not been pressurizing properly. Seems that the fuel is just burning with a yellow flame. Not the usual blue flame. All parts seem nice and tight and in good condition. Anyone have experience with these and what could be the problem? Thanks,JEFF |

From the manual,
To light A. USING COLEMANĀ® FUEL or UNLEADED GASOLINE ■ Shield stove from high wind conditions and hold lighted match to burner bowl. ■ Turn black CONTROL KNOB counterclockwise to HIGH position. (Fig. 5) NOTE: If stove burns with a high yellow flame or if liquid fuel appears in the burner, turn Control Knob OFF and allow flame to burn out. Review instructions before relighting. ■ After stove lights, pump an additional 15 to 30 strokes of air into tank. It may be necessary to repump stove occasionally during use for full heat output, especially when the control knob is on HIGH. If stove is hard to light or burns with reduced heat output on HIGH, quickly turn the control knob OFF to LOW several times to clean the generator gas tip. Yellow flame typically means fuel is in the combustion section of the burner and needs to dry or burn out. Just had this happen yesterday testing a Coleman two burner stove with fuel older than I care to admit. |
