| Anyone know a source for the lids seperate? |
|
Their site says they cannot ship the Scepter cans outside of Canada, however I think they will ship parts.
Site is in Canadian Dollars (of course) and I have no idea what the shipping costs are(they use FedEx). Could not hurt to email them if you really need the parts. |

I ordered three MFC lids and a flange from DSTACTICAL and it cost me 101.96. Shipping was $17.00.. Not too bad as there are not too many places to get these parts. Still will have to try the other place mentioned above... What is the flange for? What does it do? |

Grove, the cap on an MFC is made up of several parts, and it's like that old song about the leg bone being connected to the thigh bone, the thigh bone to the hip bone, and so on.
You have the threaded cap. The flange assembly goes inside the cap. The gasket sits on the flange. There is a little plastic tit on the backside of the flange, it sticks up through a hole in the cap, and that's what the strap/cap retainer clips onto. This allows the caps to spin freely to screw on and off. |

as of 2010 every state is a carb state, so let us know if you do get any Not everyone is interpreting the laws that way. http://www.nospill.com/States_Compliance.htm These are the only nationwide regs US EPA EPA has adopted nation-wide regulations similar to CARB requirements. All Portable Fuel Containers manufactured after December 31st 2008 must be EPA Certified. CPSC The Consumer Product Safety Commission requires that all Portable Fuel Containers manufactured after January 2009 be Child Resistant. I ordered 8 cans from them yesterday and they are shipping to Oregon which is not on the list. The first thing that the women did who I spoke to did was put me on hold to check the list and make sure that Oregon wasn't on it. |
