I am going to add some general observations:
Anything can break, but zippers seem to be prone to this. Make sure that anything that uses a zipper has a viable backup closure for when the zipper fails. Zippers should never be used to take up a load or be put under great strain. Make sure that your zipper is reinforced by auxiary strapt that take the strain off the zipper. Such straps can serve to take over for zipper when it fails. Zippers can admit dirt, dust, and water. The entire track of the zipper should be covered by some sort of flap or the like that does its' job of shedding crud/water without your having to fuss with it. IOW, it works automatically each and every time, and is effective. |
