The main problem I can think of is lack of medication in a BOB. People depend on perscriptions. From here on out I am going to take advantage of my refills when I get perscriptions. It seems my doctor always gives me more than enough refills. What medications do you have in your bob?

we don't have any prescription meds that we use daily, so we just keep OTC meds, mainly, with the bulk being "upset tummy" type stuff, since SHTF could actually take a literal turn.

but yes, for those who have dependency on prescription meds, talking to your doctor about an extra refill now and then is worth the effort, as is getting your refill a few days before it's needed each time...  you'll build up a "cushion" that way, which could buy the time needed to get more should there be a disruption in services...

Just the basic OTC stuff for me too, I have no reoccurring scripts. I try to only use OTC stuff as a last resort also, that way if a time ever comes where I don't have any or SHTF and they are not available I will not have to rely on them. But it does sound like a good idea to take advantage of your refills and stash them with your preps. I'm not sure if expiration for certain drugs will come into play though.

Two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a saltshaker half-full of cocaine and a whole multicolored collection of uppers, downers, laughers, screamers . . . Also, a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.

Nah, I just keep some OTC stuff in there - sinus meds, flu meds, stomach meds.

DAMN GOOD IDEA. GOOD CHOICES. WONDER HOW MUCH THAT WOULD COST.

The only scrip either of us use would be my wife's birth control, which we can live without. I've got some 800mg ibuprofen, some vicodin, and some cyclobenzaprine (muscle relaxer) scrips left over from recent injuries split up and put into the GHB and BOB FAK's. Other than those pain/discomfort meds, just over the counter stuff.
