Anybody out there have one and can tell me how they hold up and quality of them. How roomy are they. Just a good overal review would be great before I decide to buy one. Wanna make sure it will be good for me. Thanks Jeffro

This would probably get a quicker response in the Outdoor Community's gear section. I'll move it there.

Check out some of the long distance hiking forums such as backpackinglight.com.  They've got folks who enjoy taking unsupported backpacking trips, even over hundred of miles of terrain.  All with all the food, fuel and gear that they need.

It's probably the closest example of anybody trying to practice "bugging out" over a long distance.

Here's one example I've found:  "Demetri Coupounas, founder of the lightweight gear company GoLite, after completing unsupported hikes of Vermont's 272-mile Long Trail and California's 211-mile John Muir Trail, both without resupply, also completed the first unsupported trek of the Colorado Trail.

The distance: 468 miles.

75,000 feet of elevation gain.

He carried all of his food and gear for the entire distance and completed the trek without resupply.
The weight of his backpacking gear, not including food, about 12 pounds."

The older I get, the more of an ultralight fan I become.

I'm hoping I can get to the around 20lb range.  Right now I'm at about 28lbs without food/water, but haven't had the time/ability to do anything over a 3-5 days.
