I figure somebody here in the SF has to have tried this thing. I saw a commercial for it a minute ago and if it cuts what I spend on Mach 3 blades, I'd be happy.

I've wondered about that thing, never tried it.
I buy the Twin Blade Personna disposable razors
for camping and emergencies.  Cost averages twenty cents
each at Wal Mart, and they are USA made.  If it comes
down to it I guess I could shave with the Buck knife,
but if things get that bad a beard will become the norm.

Beards don't go well with gas masks and other similar gear. so razors might be more useful than one first thinks.

Learn to shave with a straight razor, and buy a good one along with a decent strop. In the end you can't go wrong.

+1 on the straight razor or you can buy a good safety razor after the initial cost a 10 pack of double edged blades is under 2 bucks at wally world.  I have both and shave soap and brushes.

tell that to people who wear beards as part of their religion and culture.
they have special SCBA and neg resperators that are specifically designed for facial hair.
