My vacuum machine has proved to be very handy! I just put up some 5 lb bags of flour in the tough bags that come with the machine. I am curious how long they should last if protected from the sun. I also put some rice in gallon ziploc bags and then vacuum sealed them as well. That way, when the vacuum package is opened, it is already in a ziploc for storage. I am going to pick up a large plastic bin that will keep out mice to protect the sealed bags for long term storage. How long would seeds of various veggies last if vacuum packed? |
