Or at least a comfortable one.![]() Magnum Amazon 4 #5468 I was looking for a lightweight boot for hot weather wear and based on the recommendation of an ar15.com member I purchased a pair from american-armynavy.com. I think the model number I got (5170) is being discontinued, but the rep said the style was being replaced with a similar style (or new model #). I wore them out of the box yesterday and they felt like they were already broken in. I broke my right pinky toe a week ago and have been wearing a moccasin style deck shoe to work. After slipping my foot in I had no problems. Went to help my wife re-arrange here office, no complaints from pinky. They are a little slow to lace, but there is a locking eyelet at mid ankle on the front so you can lace the lower part tighter and the upper looser, or vice versa if this is a feature you want. The tread doesn't have deep lugs that will trap mud. There is a removable insert that really cushions things, absorbs moisture, and is anti-bacterial. I can't vouch for the wear yet, but at 80.00 plus shipping they look like a good boot for the money. |
