While rewinding some very tiny 5 x 5 mm Toko coil forms for reverse engineering a thick film Motorola voltage controlled crystal oscillator used in their Expo HT series radios, for a 'special application'... [Successfully]

I found that a lot of Fenix flashlights fits the Olympus binocular zoom microscope illuminator after the incandescent lamp holder is removed.

Like they were made for this...

Nice find. Incandescents are always a bit too warm in terms of color temp anyway.

You may find yourself wanting a variable dimmer for that LED, but I'll bet you won't have any trouble making one.

Yep, it seems useful to dim, and the Fenix has it built in, I used my EDC PD22

yeah and don't forget to recalibrate the flux capacitor.....
