Just picked up a pair of 5 gal K1 kerosene for $19.98 ea. Not a sale, not a closeout, just the posted everyday price.
When the Barcode was scanned it rang up @ $44 but when the item was rung up by the item#422718 from the sign on the shelf it rang up for $19.98 ea. I guess the price of oil finally caught up with Lowes |

Link to pic of price tag on shelf
I hope this is the new price for awhile as this is basically the only clear K1 around. |

They sell METAL 5 gallon pails [like the Lowes and HD ones] for $6 ea and kero at the market price. |

WHooops!!!
Looking at Lowes website 5-Gallon Plastic Kerosene Can Item #: 422718 | Model #: 00005 Lowes environmentally friendly kero can ---Thank goodness--- Is $19.98 for a friggn PLASTIC can... It's ---EMPTY... Sometimes when it's too good to be true... |
| There price is still stupid high $44 i think. The SKU was for the kerosine "gas can" the employees put the wrong item with the wrong tag if you got the metal 5 gallon can thats full. Its cool they made it good for you but i bet they will figure it out real soon. |

Oh damn guys..sorry about that They had that price tag with the full 5 gallon cans of K1 and there wasn't an empty blue can around. I'd have to go back and look but i dont even think there was a spot for any on the shelf. It looks like it was just a pricing mistake and not the market correction I was hoping for. Oh well, even the clerk was confused and thought that was the correct price. She told me "It's all.good, these things happen all the time" as she rang everything up. I'd buy bulk clear kero if there was any to be had within 100 miles but the only bulk stuff around is dyed. |
