Good tires are more important than anything else. Then kitty litter, then a shovel

I will be investing in new tires very soon. Mine are no longer safe for a Minnesota winter.

Gonna cost me a pretty penny.

I'm getting a set of General Altimax Arctics on Saturday for my Forester.  $69 each with a $70 rebate on 4 from Wal-Mart.  Installed with the steelies I bought should be under $300 OTD which is a steal!

As for the winter kit.... My usual BOB/GHB and vehicle preps plus...

Blankets
Hand warmers
Sunglasses/goggles
Extra clothing/jackets

A small list, but my bag and preps already in the vehicle are pretty substantial.
