I just use Mason jars with 02 absorbers.

That is where I got the idea, but these fit my storage system better and are a lot easier to carry in a ruck etc. My goal is to use these as camping food for rotation and experimentation.

Good idea here. I had the similar idea after seeing the "meal in a jar" videos from honeyville. I have the gusseted mylar bags with zip top so they stand on their own and technically are reuseable.
