Going to Mexico on a cruise in a month. I (mostly the wife) was wondering what meds should we pick up while we are there for our BOB? Cipro? Anything else? Ty |
| We walked the strip in Cozumel a couple weeks ago. There was nothing but junk and scams. It's not worth it. They will see you coming. My daughter and I ate at Senor Frogs, horrible slop. Go enjoy yourself, cruises are fun. Do a couple excursions through the cruise lines. Keep your cash in your pocket. Come home and make your own vanilla. |

Did a cruise back in November to Cozumel and tried the same thing - not only were we required to go up the street to a dr to get a script, they told us how the local doc's now cost up towards $50 US for them to write scripts because of new rules. We instead bought a half dozen boxes of actual sinus meds with the real pseudoephedrine that's no longer allowed in the US. |

It's still allowed, you are just limited to a bit more then 100 tablets/day or 300/month. Bringing back 6 boxes may have been illegal. |

You might not be able to find a regular pharmacia in a tourist spot like that. Otherwise, most antibiotics and plenty of NSAIDs we can't get over here are right on the shelf. My gf gave me some heavy duty NSAID a while ago she had from Mexico when I was having some stomach pains. It surely worked, but fucked me up like motrin (I can't take motrin/ibuprofen). Make sure you know what you're buying Speed |
