So I was in the mood for some chocolate.  I opened up the cabinet where we keep such goodies and took out 2 individually wrapped "Dove dark chocolate with almond pieces."  The first one tasted kinda...funny.  As I subconsciously pondered that while surfing ARFCOM, I grabbed the 2nd piece.  Something made me look..........

In an extended SHTF, that treat would still look pretty good I'd expect.

Well, it certainly looks well nourished...

While it sounds extreme, our emergency choco stash is sealed in a 50cal ammo can. Both of my girls are extreme chocoholics-so maintaining a fresh and hearty stash for their emergency consumption does wonders for my emotional well being

Toblerone tastes fantastic, has great quality contorl and comes wraped in metal foil. Pretty sure nothing is getting in there are long as the metal wrapping is ok.

The only problem with sealing things up to keep stuff out,
is that it presumes the larvae eggs were not already there when the product was purchased.

I suppose Mylar and O2 absorbers would prevent things from hatching.

Not extreme at all. In your particular case I would call it...prudent.
