Not sure if this should go here but I respect everyone here more than anywhere else.  My mom went into surgery lastnight for breast cancer, every thing has been removed and there is no need for radiation treatments!  She should beable to go home today!  Ok thats all, Im just grateful on how lucky my family is, b/c we found out she had cancer 2 weeks ago and everything is gone and looks great!

That is awsome!!! My mother had her left lung removed in Feb. She did have to get the rediation treatment but last Sunday I was able to take her to the mall and walk around and shop. I would caution you on her mood over the next few months or years. My mom has been so worried about her looks. She only weighed 130 before the surgery and is down to 110. I know that what your mother had done might worry her more but keep her positive!!! With out our moms we would not be here!!!

That is great the cancer is now gone! Pancreatic/liver cancer took my grandmother (69 years old) 2 years ago. Cancer sucks.

Congrats, my mom just had cancer surgery 2 weeks ago. She has finished her radiation treatment and is doing well. There seems to be a lot of this lately.

My mother went through the same thing last year OP, found a spot in a mammogram, sent her for a biopsy, and got the bad news.  Went in for surgery the next week, had the small spot cut out, and the Dr. felt that she had gotten it all, but recommended radiation for 6 weeks to be sure.  She went though that with zero problems or side effects, and it's been over a year, no signs of cancer, and she's just as normal and healthy as she ever was  All in all it was alot of worrying for nothing, the Dr. reassured her 100 times that it was very very early stage, and it was taken care of in time.

Thats exactly what happend here, went in for a mammogram, found it, surgery and now recovery/new breasts.  Just got the call she will be coming home tonight for sure both Dr's OK'd her and are 99% sure there is no more left.  Waitin on results(to be sure) which will be in on Wednesday of next week.  Thanks for all the support, I asked her the smornin when she would be ready to go shoot, she said "Cancer is for wussies who dont shoot, so I guess ASAP".  Couldnt believe it!

Congrats!

My dog has sniffed out cancer in seven people, six confirmed and one who did not want to know.  Early detection makes all the difference.

Yes we are very blessed.  Most people, unfortuneately dont get the good news like we did, I thank God everyday for that.

Thanks for all the support guys/gals!
