There seems to be an unlimited number of products for testing the quality of water.

Which have you found to be the one you will use to test the quality of the dirties water you are forced to drink after boiling and running through a charcoal filter in the worst case scenario?

Would you link to the ones you have found so we can look at them?

Just go to Amazon and query on "water testing kit".

It all depends to what degre to which you want to test the water quality.  But, if I do a field analysis using the testing equipment I normally carry, it would take over an hour to complete all the testing.  And, this does include biological testing.  A complete analysis in a lab could take longer as there are tests available in a lab setting one cannot (yet) perform in the field.

I've looked at some of the "water quality test kits" for laymen to use out there.  They scare the hell out of me.  Using them can give a false sense of security that can lead to some pretty nasty health problems.  Do yourself a favor, get a sample and send it to a lab.  The cost isn't high when compared to the potential for health problems.
