If I can intimidate a hoard of 30 or so that this is not the fight they want to get into, I would rather. Tracer is just another tool in the box, not the end all.

I have NEVER been one to beat on the safety drum, but that sounds like the most unsafe drill I've ever heard of.

As far as tracer rounds being effective in that type of scenario ... I suppose you could be right, but it would be a rare scenario and most times a mag full of tracers would be an inferior way to stop multiple threats.

I've beat the safety drum and I will say standing down range, at night and having someone shoot in your direction has got to be one of the most dumb-ass things I've heard of.
