I can find tanks online, and I have plenty of barrels available locally. However I do not want to use 10 55 gallon drums but I also do not want to spend 2K on tanks. I have a 40x40 shop that gutters are going onto tomorrow. My garden is right out back of the shop, and I want to use what water I can catch for keeping the plants wet. ALSO I want to be able to use the water in case of emergency. I know I'll have to have a water to clean it, but I don't want to deal with fertilizers (that's 1 reason a bunch of plastic blue barrels is out).
Anyone know where I can find some 1000+ gallon tanks? |

Build one out of concrete? I was entertaining the idea of 1Big_Bunkers tunnel projects modified into a 10-12K gallon cistern. Wondering the difficulty and possible downsides of doing it this way. Want to be able to move it in the future so concrete is out. Got idea of prices from Tank-depot There is a local Norwesco dealer that is supposed to give me a call back today. Hope to get a couple 1000-1500 tanks for water storage. SCRATCH that idea. Tank-depot is 1/2 what they cost locally. Freight charge is close to what I'll pay in taxes |
