Got a sub-2000 9mm glock mag version as a bug out gun idea. Here is what I think and have observed. First of all you have to love that you can fold it in half and it will fit in a lap top case. It is not a expensive gun by any means. Basic plastic and metal gun. Folds up nice and tight and un-folds very nicely. Its new so its a bit stiff. But I bet as its used more and more it will become smooth as glass. Nothing fancy on this thing. Sights are plastic but strong. The recoil spring is tight and kinda funky as expected. I shot 250 rounds thru it and it has lossened up a bit. keep fairly good groups at 100yds with wally world white box 9mm. My guess is around 4-5 inch group or less. In other words, good zombie hurting potential. LOL!
I used the KCI 33rd glock 18 mags. They worked to perfection. All 8 of them worked as advertised. In 250rds I had 3 feed issues. That is pretty good in my book. Over all I really like this gun. Its not J-LO in looks, LOL. But it works. And works good. Have it in its case with 8 loaded 33 rd mags all ready to go. Gun $315 Mags $85 (8) Lap top case FREE Dead Zombies PRICELESS |

i have it i the s$w version. i carry a xd 9mm for ccw, it was only natural that i milled the xd mags to fit the s$w mag catch in the keltec.
i love this thing. it fits in my tack bag for when i back county hike and know one but me knows it there. though its not a true rifle it does fit the needs that i want for hiking a lot better than just a pistol. i highly recomend it |

I recently got the .40 Glock version to be comparable with my Glock 22 carry.
Like you said fits in a backpack or laptop case, and fills a small purpose when a pistol isn't enough, or when you can't carry a pistol due to laws. Except for a few places in this country, with 10 round mags, it's legal to have almost everywhere because it's not a pistol and therefore doesn't need a concealed carry permit. |

9mm is underpowered for zombies unless you can sever the spinal cord with a lucky shot. I disagree. I've responded to 2 suicides this year where 9mm's were involved. Both times the bullets exited the skull and went thru at least 1 other interior wall before stopping. YMMV. Guess we will never be sure until the zombie uprising occurs..... |

I would strongly question the front sight as "strong", tighten the set screw too much and you crack the cheap plastic sight blade. And it adjusts only by guessing. There are threads over on KTOG about replacing the whole front sight with an AK unit, or possibly others, to get a real adjustable sight.
Otherwise I like it a lot. |

Use 2 mags and make the rest 17 round mags for the g17 you should add to your kit. Are those the korean 33 round mags? If they are glock mags where do I get them? edit: just saw they are kci mags. |

I love the mag compatibility, the commonness of Glock mags, the light weight (I'm a wussy puff) and that I can just stick it in a hand bag. http://i55.tinypic.com/2llmt1z.jpg is it wrong to be slightly aroused by that pic? |

There are threads over on KTOG about replacing the whole front sight with an AK unit, or possibly others, to get a real adjustable sight. Otherwise I like it a lot. i'm working on a front sight replacement that uses about $30 or so of off the shelf parts to give the gun an AR-style front sight that will still let it fold and latch into place. i've got a Sub2K sitting here with the factory sight in the usual location, and the replacement in tandem behind it. i just haven't pulled the stock front sight off yet because there's no potting it back on. i think i'm just going to pull the orange front sight blade for now and test out the gun next time i go to the range. if i don't need to do any crazy elevation adjustments then i'll remove the OEM front sight. there will be pix posted, along with the parts used once i work out the details. i ain't selling anything, these are commercially available parts that anyone can buy. there's little or no "fabrication" to be done, it's all "bolt on". may just need a little dremel work. it don't look sexy, but BFD, it's going on a Kel-Tec. but IMHO, it'll have a better sight picture than the stock sight and looks better than stock, or the AK or Hi-Point front sight swaps.

The character he played was not; that was what I was quoting. Most actors and actresses are strange at best; I don't put any stock in what they are in real life. On topic, my wife has a Sub2000 in her car trunk. Its in the .40SW variety that takes glock mags. I used it until I got a side folding stock WASR10 for my trunk gun needs. |

this is what I'm thinking about trying. I've gotten out the digital calipers and tried to measure as best I can. The rail mount looks like the picatinny is low enough that it will fit between the barrel and the folded portion. With the front sight folded forward, a stock extension should still be usable. If the sight is too low a low or mid height riser could work. http://www.amazon.com/UTG-Flip-up-Tactical-Front-Complete/dp/B001WIUO1O/ref=pd_sbs_sg_11 http://www.amazon.com/UTG-Universal-Single-Rail-Barrel-Picatinny/dp/B001WJ0CFQ/ref=pd_sim_sg_1 tell me what you are thinking... edit: I cut my front sight off yesterday...i'm committed to this project now. check out this rear sight option- looks awesome, but I'll need to buy a slide vise before attempting to reproduce it. majorpandemic.com/2011/02/keltec-sub2000-adjustable-rear-and.html |

Quoted: 9mm is underpowered for zombies unless you can sever the spinal cord with a lucky shot. 124 grain +P is equivalent to a midrange 125 grain .357 mag load. The gun game guys load it even hotter, but brass doesn't last very long, and those loads should only be used in very strong guns. |
