Disclaimer - I am not interested in anything illegal. Additionally, I'm only interested in antibiotics......and I understand the dangers of overused and/or underutilized antibiotics.
Also, I'm not sure that I've ever posted in this forum. I've read the rules and cannot see that this line of questions violates them. Please just let me know if it does. Here I sit with my yearly spring sinus infection. Every year, it begins with allergies and develops into a sinus infection. Every year I go to the doctor and get a prescription for amoxicillin. Every year I pay the doctor about a hundred bucks and then I pay a few dollars for the antibiotics. This happens to me every fall too. (I was born with asthma) In a SHTF situation, I could see a regimen of antibiotics being more valuable to me than an AR. So here are my questions for you: 1. It looks like I may be able to leagally order antibiotics online - true? 2. If so, which sites have you found reputable and safe? 3. What is the shelf life for amoxicillin? 4. Are there any other medications I should consider (ex: bactrim for staph?) Thank you in advance for any help. If this post is inappropriate, I'll be happy to delete it. |

they sell everything but narcotics - same stuff that is in kroger pharmacy - only bad thing is the 25 buck ship charge so you better order a lot or have some people split the ship charge - ah yes they sell everything really cheap - i think the US gov will soon shut off mail order from them because of the prices |

US drugs are FDA approved (and should be inspected). There drugs are Indian inspected. They are not the same, and in fact some of their drugs can't be legally brought into the US becasue the patent is still valid in the US. Numerous studies show indian pharmacies (not necessarily this one) ship counterfit or adulterated products, espically expensive "vanity" drugs like Viagra. I've never seen any claims they are unsafe, and it is likely that there is little motivation to counterfeit inexpensive antibiotics. |

Last year I went to Nicaragua on a mission trip. I talked to my MD prior to the trip and explained the situation: There would be medical personnel on the team but due to the remote nature of the area we would NOT have access to normal medical supplies, including stocked pharmacies. I wanted to have a reasonable personal pharmacy on hand before departing for Nica. I was particularly concerned about three scenarios involving antibiotics: respiratory infections," the runs", and a 'dirty' wound.
He prescribed three anitbiotics: Cipro, Levaquin, and Zithromax. Apparently he thought these three sufficient to handle the common infections in the situations outlined earlier. While in Nica prescriptions are not required to purchase anitbiotics (same for mexico). In addition, they were CHEAP!. Good opportunity to acquire modest supplies of the same.... Fro |

As you already acknowledged, antibiotics are not to be screwed around with. There are serious problems with bacterial resistance that continue to get worse. If you need them for human or domestic animal use a prescription is required. For birds and fish you can buy them online from veterinary supply companies ~just be careful to use the right dosage as they come in the capsules/tablets usually intended for humans. . |
